Nothing IS immediate

The aim of this project by Tony Spencer and funded by an Arts Council England Project Grant is to explore and reimagine art as being sacred, functional and supportive of wellbeing. When I was invited to create new work as part of the project I set out to make artwork that was sacred and functional for me, supportive of my own wellbeing, using his geometric sculpture as a starting point. My wellbeing focused goal was to transform my relationship with the element of Fire and then use my artwork as an invitation for audiences to enter into their own dialogue with the elements.

Dialogues with Nature Network

An experimental non-hierarchical project that is creating a mutual learning environment for dialogues with nature and building an international community of artists, writers and professionals working in the arts or in nature (or both!). Together we are on an organic exploration of how to live in better balance through dialogue with the natural world, our own nature, and our creativity.

Laboratory of Dissent 2019

An arts symposium, followed by a CAS Associate Artist project residency culminating in a group show at Winchester Gallery. During the symposium I was invited to create a 10min manifesto. Surprisingly (or unsurprisingly?) the two I came up with summarise the direction of my artistic explorations.

Paper-clips with Raven

In 2018 I self-published a book of poetry and film-stills to accompany the release of my first art film 'Wild Mother'. Both the book and film express and support the beginning surge toward recovery and improved wellbeing.
